Integrity
Definition – the quality or condition of being whole or undivided and adherence to a strict moral code. As Christians we should be people of character our yes should be yes and our no should be no – Paul said 2Cor 1 ‘18 But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him areYes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us’. Integrity means that people should be able to rely on our words as Christians we should not talk casually, make promises that we know we don’t intend to keep – this will hurt your faith – your words are the blocks that you use to frame your world and they should be choice words seasoned with salt and minister grace always, your words carry power and authority and if you don’t expect what you say to come to pass and just make light commitments everywhere then when you are praying and nothing happens why do you act surprised and expect you words in prayer then to come you pass . Psalm 15 v4 describes the man that swears to his own hurt as one that will dwell in the hill of the Lord.
Integrity means being honest and upright, trustworthy and devoid of greed, we should not be full of deceit and cunning always looking to make a fast buck or dollar. We need to remember that we are the only Jesus a lot of people will ever see and making the name of the Lord a reproach might discourage people from ever wanting to know the Lord and this has severe eternal consequences for us. A man of integrity leaves a sweet aroma, a fragrance refreshingly bright in this dark world. 2Cor 2-14But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. My question then is what aroma are you spreading Christ’s of Deceit and Stench?
